Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1969 Jaguar E-TYPE recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

As each new generation improved, it continued to offer more features to buyers and, as a result, becoming known as "the prestigious luxury sports car from England!" The Series II of the E-Type Jaguar came about in 1968 that featured a wrap-around rear bumper, larger repositioned turn signals & tail lights, a larger grille opening which now featured twin electric cooling fans for better cooling, open headlamps, redesigned toggle switches on the dash, as well as twin Strombergs replacing the triple SU's under the hood. This classic Jaguar is powered by it all original, number's matching drivetrain featuring the 4.2L Inline 6 DOHC engine and 4-speed fully synchromesh manual transmission. This classic Jaguar comes highly optioned with power disc brakes, wood steering wheel, telescoping steering column, 72-spoke chrome wire-spoke wheels wrapped in 185R15 Michelin X radial redline tires, dual outside mirrors, Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, windshield washers, Smiths instrumentation, and a completely polished stainless steel exhaust system. This gorgeous sports car was passed down to the daughter of its original owner following his passing. It would eventually fall into the careful hands of a local broker after she sadly passed as well where it would then be purchased by Lillian, AL resident, and veteran Navy Captain, Vince Cooke. At the time of the sale, the 1969 Jaguar had only 36,016 miles on the odometer. He would cherish his acquisition for the next 15 years with the car's first base coat/clear coat repaint in 2004. After enjoying his all-original classic Jaguar for about 5 years, he elected to have the engine professionally overhauled by Ian Brown who was the Jaguar Technical Representative for North America Jaguar dealerships. It would be complete rebuild utilizing the original block, heads, crankshaft, and cams, with the head planed and the flywheel turned, with a brand new clutch kit installed. All other components would be fully rebuilt, replaced, or renewed. After 2,000 miles of enjoyment, Ian Brown and James Bamford would be asked to entirely rebuild the rear end in 2010, being renewed to like-new Jaguar standards. The body would finally receive the deserving attention in 2015 when the Gross Bros of Pensacola, FL would disassemble this car entirely giving it a proper bare metal repaint. This included multiple primer/sealer coats, and a stunning base coat/clear coat finish! A new windshield would be installed while retaining the original Triplex side glass. New rubber seals and gaskets would be installed, along with a brand new aluminum radiator, silver ceramic coated exhaust manifolds and polished stainless steel exhaust system fitted. Sadly, Capt. Cooke would pass away in February 2018 at the age of 83 and the gently used Jaguar would sell on to the Belle Meade Collection in Nashville, TN. Today, the odometer reads only 44,957 miles, of which about 5,500 miles are on the rebuilt engine. A spectacular classic car for sale that is ready to drive and enjoy!
