Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 2020 Dodge CHARGER recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 2020 Dodge CHARGER problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Full Description: T he Dodge Charger is a full-size sedan offered in SE, SXT, R/T, R/T Road & Track, R/T Scat Pack, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat trims. The Charger SE and SXT trims come equipped with a 3.6-liter V6. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available on SE and SXT trims. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, brake assist, active head restraints, curtain airbags and an ignition immobilizer. Available features include HID headlights, heated front and rear seats, satellite radio, blind spot detection, leather trimmed power seats, power adjustable pedals, navigation system, power sunroof and more. If you don't want all of these items, Dodge has also grouped many of them into smaller packages with their own themes. The Rallye Group, for example, adds a slight power upgrade for the V6 (taking it to 300 hp), 20-inch black alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension (RWD only), sporty styling flourishes (including a rear deck lid spoiler) and paddle shifters along with the Beats audio system. The SXT's Super Track Pak, meanwhile, adds a lowered ride height (by half an inch), upgraded brakes and a sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein dampers, along with shorter gearing for more responsive acceleration and Dodge's Performance Pages software (providing real-time performance information). Moving to the Charger R/T trim gets the SXT's standard equipment and adds a 5.7-liter V8, 20-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, a sport-tuned suspension and upgraded brakes. In addition to that list, the R/T Road & Track model comes with xenon headlights, launch control, upgraded brakes, a more aggressive Super Track Pak suspension tune, three-mode stability control, rear parking sensors, driver memory functions, a heated power-adjustable steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, leather and synthetic-suede upholstery, a power passenger seat, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and Performance Pages. Offered for both the SXT and R/T is a Blacktop Appearance package that adds 20-inch gloss-black wheels, various black trim elements, a sport steering wheel and (on SXT) a sport-tuned suspension. The Charger's performance is upgraded even more with the R/T Scat Pack trim, which brings a 485-hp 6.4-liter V8, a limited-slip rear differential, sport bodywork, upgraded Brembo brakes, a rearview camera, a sportier suspension calibration, selectable three-mode power steering, aluminum-trimmed pedals and cloth sport seats. Note that the Scat Pack model lacks a number of the Road & Track's interior amenities, some of which can be added via the Scat Pack's handful of packages and options. The Charger R/T comes equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 the 5.7s, 370 horsepower, 395 lb-ft of torque, limited to 145 mph . The Road & Track Performance Group provides more aggressive throttle mapping, revised traction control (higher intervention threshold), heavy-duty brakes, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and sportier rubber (245/45 Goodyear Eagle RS-A2 all-season performance tires); and Dodges Performance Pages software, which allows the driver to track acceleration, cornering, and a variety of other numeric markers. Theres a lot of other desirable stuff crammed into the R/T package, too, including nappa leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats (heated front chairs come on every R/T), a power tilt and telescope steering column, a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, and heated power mirrors. Next up is the Charger SRT 392. It's fitted with the same 6.4-liter V8 as the Scat Pack, but it adds upgraded Brembo brakes, an active exhaust system, an upgraded suspension with three-mode adaptive shock absorbers, xenon headlights, all the interior amenities from the Road & Track model (plus upgraded leather upholstery), a flat-bottom steering wheel, HD radio, a navigation system and SRT Performance Pages, which builds upon the Dodge Performance Pages feature with even more elaborate performance-related measurements. At the top of the Charger food chain and eating everything in sight is the SRT Hellcat. In addition to most of the other models' performance-related upgrades, the Hellcat adds a more powerful supercharged 6.2-liter V8, a hood with heat extraction vents, aluminum interior trim, a special power-limiting keyless remote in addition to a full-power key fob, and blind-spot monitoring. Choose the Hellcat and you also are entitled to the SRT one-day driving school. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, brake assist, active head restraints, curtain airbags and an ignition immobilizer. Available features include HID headlights, heated front and rear seats, satellite radio, blind spot detection, leather trimmed power seats, power adjustable pedals, navigation system, power sunroof and more. When the Charger emerged from the design studio, only the roof and rear doors remained unchanged from the previous model. Its clearly curvier with some softer edges. The designers tell us their inspiration for the grille came from the 1969 car and that its forward-leaning tilt is meant to give it the stance of a superhero. Sliding behind the new three-spoke wheel reveals the same spacious interior dimensions that sizable drivers have come to know and love. A new, highly stylized yet restrained instrument-surround insertDodge calls it an aluminum-lithograph driver bezelexudes an upscale look and feel, but its let down by the acres of textured plastic that cover the top of the dash. Although soft to the touch and light-years better than the plastics of just a few years ago, it still feels a bit industrial, like the material that might cover the gripping surfaces on a piece of exercise equipment. That said, a low-key matte finish mitigates the effect, while attractive stitched-fabric door upholstery and redesigned seating helps keep things looking and feeling luxe. Styling revisions aside, arguably the biggest change to hit the Charger models is that they now use electric power steering. With three modes to choose fromNormal, Comfort, Sportthis helps the Charger perform its best trick, making 120.2 inches of wheelbase and two tons of curb weight feel considerably smaller than those figures imply. While the ratio remains the same at 14.4:1 and 2.6 turns lock-to-lock (16.5:1 and 3.1 for AWD models), switching to Comfort mode lightens the effort for parking-lot maneuvers, and Sport provides a niceif somewhat artificialweighty feel that complements the discernible on-center valley.
