Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 2009 Toyota FJ CRUISER recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 2009 Toyota FJ CRUISER problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Full Description: 2009 Toyota FJ 2wd White with Black Interior, Backup camera, Tow Pkg. Center arm rests. Two owner clean carfax, service history for the second owner. Please read the following independent drivers review of this vehicle:Toyota FJ Cruiser, 2009 The FJ Cruiser is a quirky member of the Toyota breed. Built from 2007 to 2014, it was discontinued because it competed with the 4Runner. Nevertheless, they are much sought after by those who crave mild off-road adventures and a distinctive-looking vehicle. 2009 Cruisers come with 9.6 inches of ground clearance and a 4.0-liter V-6 with 239 hp and 278-lb foot of torque. At 4,338 pounds, this is a heavy utility vehicle, but the power plant does a good job of moving it along the highway. With a strong legacy from early Land Cruisers and a clear orientation toward dirt roads, the FJ is a nice mix of modern sensibility and old-fashioned thinking. AWD versions are available. This example is not. You climb into the FJ using a sidestep and find yourself sitting high above the road. The cabin is well designed and practical, with plenty of cubby holes and comfortable, manually adjusted, seats. Two half doors open with a handle on the inside of the door panel, allowing access to a rear seat that is comfortable for shorter journeys. Fold down the rear seats and you have 67 cubic feet of storage space. A sturdy roof rack adds to baggage space. When needed, you can hose out the cabin after off-roading. If your FJ has the tow package (the one I drove did), you can tow up to 5,000 pounds. With its short windows and thick C-pillars, as well as vertical side mirrors, visibility to the side and astern can be a problem. On the road, there is enough oomph to take you from 0 to 60 mph in about 7.5 seconds and the acceleration is adequate for the freeway. The feeling under way is somewhat truck-like, but this is hardly surprising, given the massive tires and the accompanying frame, which is reminiscent of pickups and earlier Toyota SUVs. When I took the FJ into the mountains, it handled well and would clearly be at its best on dirt roads and lesser highways. The suspension irons out more-or-less anything. Given the height and weight of the vehicle, you cannot corner in a spirited way, nor, indeed, would one expect to. You navigate hairpins with respectful care, but have more than adequate pickup out of steep bends, which is nice. This is, above all, a conveyance for modest adventure, which is perfectly capable of long freeway journeys and is very pleasant to experience on country roads. The FJ Cruiser is deservedly popular with people who want to go off-road occasionally, or seek a somewhat unusual looking SUV. It will appeal to those who camp regularly, attend tailgate parties, or enjoy the beach and/or surfing. Despite its unconventional styling, this is a thoroughly practical vehicle, which will appeal to a broad range of younger and middle-aged drivers, who have ambitions beyond just commuting and the occasional long journey. As a result, they are much in demand and not that common in the marketplace, because people who own them tend to hang on to them. Enough said! This white FJ has two-wheel drive, a towing package, and just under 114,000 miles on its odometer. Theres a backup camera, also upgraded wheel rims. Two owners have enjoyed it, and it has been well looked after, driving smoothly without any signs of undue wear. High mileage Toyotas are reliable and this example of the much-in-demand FJ should provide excellent long-term ownership for a discerning owner with long-time use in mind. FJs hold their value and have market prices that reflect their desirability, but this example is well-priced in the marketplace.Door Handle Color - Metallic, Front Bumper Color - Black, Front Skid Plate, Mudguards - Rear, Rear Bumper Color - Black, Running Boards, Skid Plate(S) - Front, Mudguards - Front, Mirror Color - Silver, All-Weather Floor/Cargo Mat Set, Carpeted Floor Mat/Cargo Mat Set, Passenger Side Armrest, Steering Ratio - 17.1, Air Filtration, Armrests - Drivers Seat, Front Air Conditioning, Front Air Conditioning Zones - Single, Floor Material - Rubber/Vinyl, Center Console, Cupholders - Front, Multi-Function Remote - Trunk Release, Power Steering, Storage - Cargo Tie-Down Anchors And Hooks, Storage - Door Pockets, Storage - Seatback, Power Steering - Variable/Speed-Proportional, Vanity Mirrors - Driver, Steering Wheel - Tilt, Cargo Area Light, Reading Lights - Front, Reading Lights - Rear, Rearview Mirror - Auto-Dimming, Abs - 4-Wheel, Axle Ratio - 3.72, Braking Assist, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Front Brake Diameter - 12.6, Front Stabilizer Bar - Diameter 30 Mm, Front Suspension Classification - Independent, Locking Rear Differential, Rear Brake Diameter - 12.3, Rear Stabilizer Bar - Diameter 20 Mm, Rear Suspension Classification - Solid Live Axle, Rear Suspension Type - Multi-Link, Stability Control, Traction Control, Trd Performance Shocks, Front Shock Type - Gas, Front Spring Type - Coil, Rear Shock Type - Gas, Rear Spring Type - Coil, Front Struts, Front Brake Type - Ventilated Disc, Front Suspension Type - Double Wishbone, Rear Brake Type - Disc, Tow Hitch Receiver W/Wiring Harness, 50 State Emissions, Antenna Type - Mast, Auxiliary Audio Input - Jack, In-Dash Cd - Single Disc, Radio - Am/Fm, Warnings And Reminders - Low Fuel Level, In-Dash Cd - Mp3 Playback, Total Speakers - 6, Gauge - Tachometer, Warnings And Reminders - Tire Fill Alert, Liftgate Window - Manual Flip-Up, Rear Door Type - Side-Hinged, Taillights - Led Rear Center, Convenience Package, Trd Sport Package, Spare Tire Cover, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Wheel Locks - Alloy Wheels, Spare Tire Mount Location - Outside, Spare Tire Size - Full-Size, Spare Wheel Type - Steel, Tire Type - All Season, Wheels - Steel, Front Wipers - Variable Intermittent, Power Windows, Roof Rack, Window Defogger - Rear, Active Head Restraints - Dual Front, Body Side Reinforcements - Side Impact Door Beams, Child Seat Anchors - Latch System, Daytime Running Lights, Front Airbags - Dual, Side Airbags - Front, Side Curtain Airbags - Front, Side-Curtain Airbag Rollover Sensor, Airbag Deactivation - Occupant Sensing Passenger, Front Seat Type - Bucket, Seatbelt Force Limiters - Front, Seatbelt Pretensioners - Front, Upholstery - Cloth, Driver Seat Manual Adjustments - 8, Front Headrests - 2, Front Headrests - Adjustable, Passenger Seat Manual Adjustments - 4, Rear Headrests - 3, Rear Headrests - Adjustable, Rear Seat Type - 60-40 Split Bench, Rear Seatbelts - Center 3-Point, Rear Seat Folding - Flat
